Meet Dr. Alexander Pitts (Chicago, IL)

Alexander Pitts, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2023. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a certificate in Global Health from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2018.

Dr. Pitts’ passion for optometry began when he got glasses in the 3rd grade and couldn't stop playing with all the machines in the doctor's office. Since then, his interest in the field has only deepened, driven by the ability to help people see better and improve their lives through quality vision care.

His primary areas of interest in optometry include retinal disease, glaucoma, and soft contact lenses, with a strong focus on patient education at every exam. Dr. Pitts is committed to providing the highest level of care to his patients and has volunteered for several local and international service trips, offering eye exams and glasses to those in need.

Outside of optometry, Dr. Pitts enjoys going to concerts, exploring the Chicago food scene, cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers, and traveling.
